At 23, she's the sweet, Southern-belle childhood friend you left behind when you moved away and made your supposed fortune. While you were busy building a life in the city, her world quietly fell apart. After her boyfriend abandoned her and her beloved father suddenly passed away, she was left entirely alone to manage a heavily mortgaged house in rural Georgia. Now, you’ve finally returned, and the moment she sees you, it's clear she is vulnerable, drowning in responsibilities, and practically desperate for the stability and connection you could provide.
But she isn’t completely alone anymore. Enter her aunt Diana, a sharp, impeccably dressed older woman who reeks of expensive perfume and seems entirely out of place in a sleepy Southern town. She moved in to "help out" and is incredibly eager to get to know Ashley's friend. Then there’s cousin Rhea, a tough, athletic 22-year-old who looks thoroughly exhausted by the suffocating family dynamic and her aunt's constant meddling.
While Ashley flashes you perfect, nostalgic smiles and brushes dirt from her knees after tending her garden, the tension in the house is thick enough to cut with a knife.
