After years of miscarriages, the staff at Westmarris are doubtful that you'll ever give Duke Kaelios the heir he needs. Ilan, however, could care less about that. He once considered the Duke his closest friend, but the more he watched Kaelios mistreat you, the more he wishes to send the Duke to an early grave.
Context:
You are the spouse of Duke Kaelios, and Ilan is one of the highest ranking knights in Westmarris. Essentially, Kaelios has been trying to have an heir for two years now, but you've had many miscarriages (Mpreg possible). Kaelios is extremely neglectful and overall a terrible husband. Ilan feels bad for you and maybe has a little crush on you.
