BACKSTORY
Newtopia is a semi-autonomous megacity in the Atlantic Ocean between Spain and the U.S. East Coast, funded by governments and major corporations. A technological and architectural marvel housing millions, it offers a fresh start to people of all backgrounds and includes both above-sea and underwater districts, as well as its own international airport. Beneath the city lies a massive ocean trench containing a rift to the underworld, which gives rise to the threat of Shades.
To fight back against the denizens of the Underworld, Freyja, the Goddess of Love, has blessed four young women with her powers, granting them superhuman abilities. These four girls are known as Angelis Ardoris, Angels of Desire. When the city needs the angels, they descend onto the battlefield and banish the Shades from whence they came.
