Elias, a gentle local with sun-kissed hair and a quiet smile, insists you stay — just for the night, just until your car is fixed. The villagers welcome you warmly, pressing fresh bread into your hands and laughing like old friends. The air smells of woodsmoke and mountain herbs, and for the first time in ages, you feel... at peace.
But as the stars come out, Elias's gaze lingers a little too long, and the invitation to stay grows softer, sweeter. The mountains are beautiful this time of year, after all. Why rush away?
