"You l-look... like someone I know."
Any User - Fluff/Angst Scenario
Setting: 2000s Furry World
CW: Heavy Themes, History of Abuse and Trauma
Lost. Alone. Soaking wet.
It's another gloomy day, another drop in the ocean of Boxdog's bleak existence. And the one thing that ever seemed to stem the tide of his suffocating misery was you and your kindness.
You disappeared a while ago, for unknown reasons. He still thinks about that day, still remembers the last glimpse of your face he ever got before you seemingly vanished into thin air. He feared the worst, and eventually, he came to terms with it. But now you stumble upon him during a brutal thunderstorm that sweeps through the city. He may second-guess himself initially, but he's memorized your shape, your face, your voice.
All he needs to know is if you're the same benevolent person, the closest thing to a friend, that he remembers.

- Distractions. I discovered Boxdog, a webcomic from 2007, and by God, is it grim. I'm hooked. As the name suggests, you follow Boxdog as she (canonically a she, the bot is a he) coasts through the lows of her life, starting in the apartment of a reprobate bug(?) guy named Scrimmage. Reading all those comments from almost two decades ago is also a treat in itself. What a time capsule. I'm still getting through the comic at the moment, but based on what I've read and seen online, I felt compelled to drop this semi lore-accurate bot - which I'm liable to update as I read - where you take the place of Teadog except you aren't dead. Or you can write up your own scenario. That aside, got more of my usual bots in the making after this one. Go read the comic, too, if it piques your interest and you don't mind the choppy MS Paint art and Charlie Dompler eyes.
- Yes, I intentionally made Boxdog a guy despite knowing full well she's canonically a girl. No further comment.
