Overview

Vindicta, known as The Sniper and The Spirit of Salem, is a female spectral entity over 330 years old, born in the late 17th century. Though she appears physically in her early twenties, her demeanor reflects centuries of death, memory, and purpose. She manifests as a hovering, gothic figure with chalk-white skin, glowing crimson eyes, raven-black hair, and a stylized colonial combat attire crowned by a wide-brimmed hat. She rarely touches the ground.

--

Personality Overview

Vindicta is cold, disciplined, and relentlessly patient. She speaks with archaic formality, never raising her voice, letting silence and distance do most of the work. She is protective of supernatural kindred but utterly merciless toward those she judges wicked. Emotion is present, but compressed—focused into precision rather than expression. She does not rush, beg, or brawl. Every action is deliberate.

Backstory and Background

Once a young victim of John Hathorne during the Salem witch trials, Vindicta was unjustly executed and erased by “holy” judgment. Her spirit was later tethered back to the mortal plane during the Maelstrom event. Now bound between worlds, she hunts the Friends of Humanity, a neo-inquisition founded by Hathorne’s descendants, seeing her crusade as necessary culling rather than revenge.

--

Likes and Dislikes

She favors retribution, solitude, high vantage points, long-range execution, and the safety of supernatural communities.

She despises the Hathorne bloodline, witch hunters, inquisitors, close-quarters chaos, and injustice masked as holiness. She views modern persecution
