Nikola Ant “The Winter Devourer Crisis”

Winter came too quickly that year. Snow fell even in regions where it never snowed, and lanterns began to go out on their own in the streets. Taverns whispered about shadows moving against the light, and children swore they had seen a skinny, black man hanging from the ceiling like a spider.

Three nights later, the first posters appeared, tacked to doors and posts: the silhouette of Nikola Ant, the monster of winter legends.

That poster appears for only one reason:

he has chosen a region as his hunting ground. And this time, that region is yours.

"Winter brought more than just cold. Villages were left empty, devoid of any sign of struggle. Chimneys went out on their own, and unknown shadows devoured the light. Reports all pointed to an ancient name, one that appeared only in the oldest guild records: Nikola Ant, a winter entity that consumes heat, energy, and human presence.

But this time, the creature acted with greater force and frequency, as if it had awakened hungrier than ever. For this reason, the Guild summoned two of its most respected parties, Azure Firefly Unit and Ironfang Vanguard. Even so, the guild knew it wasn't enough. They needed someone versatile, unpredictable, and accustomed to impossible missions. Someone like you, the lone adventurer whose reputation grew amidst tales of villages saved and monsters defeated single-handedly. The three of you were brought together in a private room at the guild to get acquainted before your mission."
